The views of some of our parishioners on Catholicism
This page expresses the views that some of our parishioners have on Catholicism and what Catholicism means to them.
Neville
Catholicism means to me The Absolute Truth. "When Our Lord said to Peter". "Thou art Peter upon this Rock I build my Church" giving him the Divine Authority such as that of Our Holy Father "Pope Benedict".
Vanessa
For me the Catholic Church is the all-embracing Mother Church. Being a Catholic means having a home and family, a path to Christ.
Moira
The day I was received into the Catholic church was the best and most important of my life: I felt that I had come home. The Catholic church sustains, strengthens, comforts and enfolds me and I am deeply grateful for the blessings I have received.
John
Catholicism lets me thank God constantly for my life and all the guidance I have received from The Holy Spirit.

As a boy I attended St Joseph’s Roman Catholic School in Dagenham, where I was taught Latin to understand The Tridentine Latin Mass, as Masses were sung or said in Latin and was the norm in those days and pre Vatican 11. I am very much a traditionalist and Latin should be more widely used in our beautiful Mass, as for me, it's more spiritual and greater depth to god and praise him with love and devotion. I hope more priests will encourage Latin in our churches, this is our heritage and this is what true Catholicism means to me.
Ann
God's Love is with me always through the Holy Mass. The Sacraments and daily prayer.

A recent visit to the real "Eternal City" mad me proud to be a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
